I Deleted My Second Blog

I have just deleted my second blog because I now have another page just for my drawings,

and I don't draw often enough to up date it.

A new sewing machine

I have been going to a sewing class for the last two months, I would start a project and not be able to finish it until the next sewing class.

I am not very patient when time comes to sewing so I went ahead and bought a sewing machine.

I am very happy with it and hope it lasts a long time.

It can embroider the alphabet, and many other nice stitches.

It is a "Brother" sewing machine.

It is hard buying things

we already have in Oregon,

It is fun to

type with a sewing machine!!

I took a picture of my little giant brother

who is three years old : )

For fun I made him some slippers,

they look a little......odd

A beautiful birthday present

For my birthday I received a package in the mail from my Granny.

I watched it for a week waiting to open it , and finally the day came!

Inside, wrapped in fabric was a beautiful silver bracelet fashioned by a silversmith in Iran in 1943.

My great Grandpa designed it by telling the silversmith what he wanted and how he wanted it done

and he would do it just how Grandpa wanted it.

The bracelet was purchased by my great Grandpa Peter Hansen while he was stationed in Iran during World War Two. He had the name Dot put on it for my great Grandma Dorthy Hansen.

This bracelet was passed down to my Granny (The daughter of Peter and Dorthy Hansen)

and now to me.

This is very special to me and some day I will pass it down to my children.

~My Piano Recital~

On Saturday I had a piano recital, I played two songs.

The First Noel and Silent Night. It's funny how I am not really nervous until I am on stage, then I am suddenly very nervous!

This is the third piano recital I have been in.

(I would have posted a video but I am still figuring that out)

It does help if you know the audience,

and I did not know any one there.

My present teacher has only been teaching me for a few months.

It feels like January just started and it is already the 20th!!!!!

Italian Tomato Bread

My friends and I experimented yesterday,

we made bread but this time added tomato sauce to it.

It actually turned out really good!

Here is the recipe

Italian Tomato Bread

2 1/4 tsp yeast

3 tsp sugar

3/4 cup water

let the yeast rise for at least 3 min

(In separate bowl )

2 tbsp olive oil

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 cup tomato sauce

3/4 tbsp Italian seasoning
2 3/4 cup flour

combine the

yeast

water

sugar
preheat oven to:375
knead the dough for ten min
(unless you have a mixer)

Let the dough rise for 40 min
sprinkle garlic powder and salt on top

put it in the oven for 30 min or until browned

This recipe makes one small loaf
so you might want to double it :)
